Day 9 - Deer Lake

Driven today: 343 km
Total Driven: 3122 km

Wevstarted with a hearty breakfast at Alma's restaurant.  We managed to get a few pictures from Port Aux Basques bay.

One we got on the road we had some rain and fog.  Still we could admire all this hills left from the last ice age.

Beatiful views of the mountains in the fog

We checked in early at our hotel in Deer Lake and then drove to our objective:  Gros Morne National Park and UNESCO World Heritage Site.  We stopped at at a lookout with a lake down below

And we got a couple to take our picture

Later at another lookout, at the "hanging valley" we took a selfie, you cannot see the valley because it is behind us

And then we stopped to hike the Southern Brook falls trail.  The woods are so different from Ontario but beautiful.

A liitle farther we arrived to the visitor centre

And from there to  Lobster Cove Head

There is still a lighthouse that is now a museum

And amazing views of the cove

And then back to Deer Lake where we dined on seafood pizza (shrimps, lobster and scallops). Wow!!
