Driven today : 160 km
Total dricen: 2152 km
We started the day at Greenwich PEI National Park. While we were still in the parking lot we saw a bald eagle and a black fox, Wow. We started by walking the Havre Saint Pierre trail, a short an easy trail thta took us to the shore of St. Peter's bay ( I wonder why the trail name is in French )
The trail follows the shore, we saw something in the water that at first we thought there were birds but later we found out that they are buoys the have ropes with bags hanging from them to grow mussles
We finished that 1 km trail very quickly and we followed the Greenwich Dunes trail . Along the waythere were some pretty pink bushes (flowers?) that we have never seen before
After we entered a forest stand
And then a boardwalk over Bowley Pond. Once we were on the boardalk we could see the famous PEI dunes
The boardwalk is pretty long, I would guess more than 1 km.
And then we arrived at the beach wich is in the North part of the Island looking at the Atlantic Ocean
The were lost of jelly fish on the sand
We came back up a dune to see them from the other side. They were some interesting signs explaining how the dunes are formed and how they move
The back the same way to get back to the car
From there we went, still on the North shore to the Dalvay PEI National Park which is some 30 km East from St. Peter
We found a beautiful beach, tht goes on for 12 km, butit was not as exciting as the morning walk. We did may be 3 km (plus 3 return)
And we ended the day

When we got to the ar it was time for lunch so we went looking for a plae in St. Peter that cousin Erika had recommended. We have to agree, the fish and chips were excellent
