We started the day at 5 am, on the road by 6 am. Since we had to cross Toronto from West to East we were trying to beat Toronto's rush hour traffic.
It was still dark when we left our apartment in downtown Mississauga
And soon after we had a chnce to see the sunrise
The Big Apple is a necesay stop for me to eat a sliceof apple pie. This is a well known pie factory and their apple crumble pie is my favourite. As soon as we arrived we saw the car of our daughter in law who was going to spend the evening with us in Ottawa. She was coming with our grandchildren Julian and Chloe
We arrived to Ottawa around noon and we meet our son Rob, who lives in Ottawa at the Canadian Museum of Nature where we spent the afternoon.

And later family dinner at a great diner
After dinner uncle Rob treated everyone to goodies at a candy store
To end the day we walked at dusk to the Parliament buildings and Julian visited the statue of Terry Fox, a true Canadian hero
